Q&A Tights
From the exact denier for the season to the pros' tricks for preventing runs — we've gathered every answer to guarantee you maximum comfort, a personal fit and legs full of style
Denier is a measure of the fiber's thickness. The lower the number (for example 15 DEN), the more sheer, thin and delicate the tights. The higher the number (for example 80 DEN and up), the more opaque, strong, warm and durable they are.
There's no need for complicated size charts here. Most of our tights are made with advanced elastic knitting technology in One Size, fitting sizes 34-48. That said, low-denier styles or ones that have gone through special color washes will fit up to size 44-46. It's always best to check the exact size range in the description tab of each style on the site.
Yes! Thanks to the high elastane content and the vertical knit, the tights stretch not only in width but also in length. They adapt to your height without squeezing your toes or slipping down.
The secret is in putting them on correctly: roll the tights down to the toe and slide them up — never yank them by force. Make sure you're not wearing sharp jewelry and don't have broken nails. Also try the freezer trick: lightly dampen a new pair, put it in a zip-lock bag and into the freezer overnight. The cold strengthens the fibers significantly!
Immediately dab a little clear nail polish or spray some hairspray right on the edge of the tear. It hardens, seals the frayed fibers together and keeps the hole from running further down your leg.
We strongly recommend hand-washing in cool water. If you must use a machine, you have to place the tights in a dedicated mesh laundry bag and use a completely cold, gentle cycle — no spin and no dryer.
For a formal event we recommend sheer tights (15-30 denier) in a nude skin tone or thin black. They give the leg a smooth, polished filter without taking over the look.
Absolutely yes! Beyond just being possible, it's a major style statement right now — chic, bold and totally on-trend. Pairing tights (especially our fishnets, prints or bold colors) with heeled sandals or open shoes instantly elevates any look and adds a runway touch. If you'd still rather have your toes fully bare inside the sandal, you'll also find footless styles here that pair perfectly with any open shoe.
The trick is to create a visual flow. Choose an opaque tight (like 90 denier) in the same color as your shoes (for example, black tights with a black ankle boot). The unbroken line of color creates an illusion of length and height.
This is our flagship product (made in Italy). Instead of a thin elastic that cuts into the stomach and creates a muffin top, they have an extra-wide, soft, flexible waistband that hugs the body and doesn't roll down. Beyond the comfort and the flattering look, the huge advantage of this waistband shows up during dressing itself: the flexible waist makes pulling them up much easier and smoother, which dramatically reduces stress on the fabric and prevents tears and runs at the exact moment you put them on.
The goal is for the tights to blend into your skin. Choose a shade as close as possible to your summer skin color. If you're torn between two shades, go with the darker of the two — it gives the leg a more tanned, vibrant, healthy look.
Matte tights (no shine) give a more natural look and excel at hiding skin imperfections. Shiny tights add a glowing touch and suit evening events, but keep in mind that shine tends to emphasize and visually enlarge the volume of the leg.
Static builds up from fabric friction. The fix: rub a little hand or body cream on your palms and glide them lightly over your legs (on top of the tights), or run a metal hanger over the inside of the skirt before wearing it to neutralize the charge.
Quality tights shouldn't itch. That said, in winter our skin tends to get extremely dry. Be sure to apply a moisturizing body cream and wait until it's fully absorbed before putting on the tights, to prevent dry friction.
