Q&A Shapewear
From choosing the exact level of support to finding your right size online with total confidence — we've gathered every answer on the way to shapewear that fits like a second skin and smooths your body's lines
Shapewear is an elastic, technical piece of underwear designed to smooth the body's lines, gather soft areas and sculpt an even silhouette. It's made to prevent bunching under fitted clothes, support your posture, and give you a boost of confidence.
Bonding technology replaces thick, traditional seams with flat, laser-cut bonding. The result is shapewear that fits like a second skin, doesn't cut into the waist or groin, and stays completely invisible (seamless) even under thin satin dresses.
- Light Support: gentle smoothing — ideal for everyday wear and lightweight fabrics.
- Medium Support: the perfect balance of comfort and sculpting, great for all-day wear and dresses.
- Strong Support: powerful compression that visually slims your figure — made for evening events and bridal gowns.
Check the size indicator on the product page. If it says Runs Small (common in strong-support shapewear), we recommend sizing up. If you measure and fall right between two sizes, always go for the larger one! Shapewear that's too small will pinch, roll down and create unflattering bulges.
Rolling is usually caused by choosing a size that's too small, so the fabric stretches beyond its limit. Another cause is applying body cream around the top silicone bands, which stops them from gripping the skin.
There's really no need. Most of our shapewear and bodysuits are made with a hygienic gusset in a breathable fabric, so they can be worn directly against the skin. That way you avoid adding an extra visible panty line (VPL) under your outfit.
We thought of that! Most of our jumpsuits and full bodysuits come with a discreet comfort opening at the gusset (split crotch) or a hook closure, so you can easily use the bathroom without getting fully undressed.
For deep V-neck backs we recommend shaping shorts with a low-back cut. They firmly gather the lower stomach, yet sit low enough not to peek out of the dress.
Absolutely. Look for our biker-short styles or jumpsuits in strong support. Their cut includes support beneath the buttocks that pushes them up and gives a rounded, natural, lifted shape.
For a wedding gown we recommend a full shaping jumpsuit in a nude (body) tone. The jumpsuit smooths the body from the bust to the hips, prevents cut lines across the middle of the stomach, and ensures the dress falls perfectly.
Modern technical fabrics are breathable and moisture-wicking. For hot, humid summers we recommend shapewear in modal fabric or from our Light Support line, which feel light and airy on the body.
Yes — that's one of its biggest benefits! Shaping shorts that reach mid-thigh completely prevent friction between the legs and give you peace of mind even on the hottest days.
Shapewear doesn't melt fat, but it definitely slims your figure visually and redistributes soft tissue. Our Strong styles can give an instant illusion of a full size smaller in your outward appearance.
You must consult your surgeon before wearing shapewear. Once you have medical clearance (usually about 6 weeks), it's best to start with soft (Light) shapewear to give gentle support to your posture and core muscles without aggressive pressure.
Quality shapewear in the right size isn't dangerous at all. Restricted circulation or difficulty breathing only happens when you wear shapewear in an extremely small size that crushes the ribs.
No worries! We offer free size exchanges with a courier who comes straight to your door. The courier hands you the new size and collects the old one. The process is handled easily through our returns portal. (If you'd rather make a full return, the fee is $20.)
